Finally a Fix for the Norton Glitch in Windows Vista SP1 and XP3!

There is a glitch in the Windows Vista Windows XP Service Pack 3 or Windows Vista Service Pack 1, that surfaces with a tool that is called Fixccs.exe. The downside of this tool is that it adds numerous registry keys in many locations and some of these registries are from Symantec. The official Windows Vista Place Blog states, “Because of these registry keys, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms: These entires cause issues such as:

  1. Windows Device Manager is empty.
  2. Missing Wireless network adaptors or other hardware devices.
  3. Unable to connect using a wireless adapter.

Ten Things I Like About Windows Vista-Post 5

Here I am half way through my mission to point out some of the things I like about Windows Vista. And yes I am aware I still have half of the way to go (for all of you half empty people). While podnering my next post I decided to take a Windows negative and spin it into a positive, maybe. I did say spin, so if you think I am full of BS then so be it.

We all know how Microsoft has perfected the art of software crashes, freeze ups, and shut downs. Knowing what a monster the Windows Operating System is, Microsoft included a problems reports and solutions application in the control panel. The Problem Reports and Solutions manager is a better way to diagnose errors, crashes, malfunctions, and even Malware issues.

Ten Things I like About Windows Vista-Post 4

Windows Vista by default has Windows Media Center as a part of the Vista core package. Although Windows Vista Media Center is capable of doing many things there is one thing in particular that I do often, watch live TV. I never had much of an interest in watching TV on my computer and was not a Vista user until my computer suffered a catastrophic failure. While in a hurry I bought a new tower begrudgingly with Windows Vista installed. The tower did not have a TV tuner installed and so my curiosity eventually got the best of me. After researching different TV tuner cards I settled on the Pinnacle HD Tuner card. Installing was a snap and in no time I was watching live TV on my PC.
